OpenBuilds, a leader in Open Hardware distribution, has been working hard
to meet the needs of the Open Source builder community.
The OpenBuilds Team has developed a series of collections of SketchUp models for their hardware parts.
Special thanks goes out to Team member Ronald van Arkel for the great work done on these models
Collections are used on 3D Warehouse to organize like items together which makes browsing for models so much easier.
Navigating the 3D Warehouse site requires a bit of finesse in the search bar.
Begin by entering a search phrase of "OpenBuilds". You then need to click the down arrow at the end of the search bar and click on "Search for Collections". This will give you that organized set of Collections!
True to the Open Source principals, the OpenBuilds collections are freely available to the entire Open Source community through 3D Warehouse.
Builders everywhere can now enjoy using these models in their own SketchUp builds!
