This is a brass tension nut that will allow you to apply tension or simply hold in place the OpenBuilds custom lead screws. It has an M5 set screw to ensure a no slip lock when set in the desired position. Learn more on how to use the tension system with our Tension based actuators

Tension Nut
I removed the stop caller and replaced it with the tension nut then a precision spacer then the bearing. Locking the tension nut placing pressure on the tension nut.

Tension Nut
Superior solution to locking nut in "compression" lead screw builds and a must have in tension builds. Will be converting all four of my lead screws to tension with these nuts and thrust bearings.

It worked so well I replaced all my shaft collar set screws on my cnc.

Tension Nut
The fit on the OB lead screw is flawless. They have good smooth contact to the lead screw. And I like the bigger grub screw. I am using these for locking nuts to hold thrust bearing and lead screw in place.
