RoutER11 CNC Kit

Router works as designed. Never had a 1hp router before . I believe feeds and speeds are important on this router. There is a list available for different bits which is great but wood types need to be factored in as different densities have different effects.

Now I have not got a chance to cut any material with the RoütER11 as by build is a work in progress. The main thing that I was concerned about was run out, given I used to work as a machinist. My first attempt turned out sub-par for my needs. Believing it to be the ER11 collet nut having a bad inside taper, I reached out to support and got an ER11 nut and a 1/8" ER11 collet. With that I found it to be just the collet and now the RoütER11 really shined. Using a 1/8" gage pin was able to measure just 0.0005" +/- 0.0005" with my Brown & Sharp test indicator. Very impressive, and what that translates into is less vibration, less noise, less tool wear and longer bearing life.

Love it, should have purchased one a long time ago!

Very pleased but would like to know if brushes are available. I know that it comes with 2 sets but I plan to use it for years.

Replaced router with standard collet and bad speed control. The ER11 Collet is a great up grade. At first was concerned as collet temperature seemed hot to touch on short run. But after first run of more than an hour the temp never exceeded 95 deg f.
