lead 1010 assembly
Almost done with the assembly of the machine, ready to start the wiring. So far I am impressed with the materials and the ease of the assembly.

Lead 1010
Bought this machine a couple of months ago and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. There are a few parts of the build video that could be clearer but overall It was easy to follow along and get this machine built. It’s runs well with the black box I purchased at the same time though the steppers Seem noisy when idle at whatever current I set the pots. There were a number of parts missing, and one of my limit switches was faulty with my machine. I always dread this when ordering from abroad but the openbuilds team couldn’t have been more helpful and a matter of a couple of days later I had the required parts. Great machine for beginners, nice and rigid and the open builds software is easy to use, although I have quickly upgraded to a more fully featured control software. Recommended for anyone looking to they into CNC.

1010 Lead Machine
I bought my first CNC machine from KickStarter five years ago. Comparing my experience with the Lead Machine and the KickStarter I can simply say Openbuilds has done a masterful job. With my previous machine I spent days putting it together and weeks getting the electronics and control board working. I had the Lead Machine up and working in a day. The Blackbox controller makes it so easy and the PowerCase eliminates any worry about getting the power right. The engineering is spot on and the build video makes it easy for anyone to put the machine together. I would recommend this anyone from beginner to expert. If you are looking to get a CNC machine, give yourself flexibility and buy from Openbuilds and save yourself a couple of thousand dollars. I have watched OpenBuilds from the beginning and they continue to impress.

Lead 1010 build
The Lead 1010 bundle is awesome. Everything you need to build this machine is included. The parts are precise and complete. The attention to detail is amazing. The bundle was so well packed it took a long time just to get every part and piece unwrapped. Even the ends of the wires were tinned, who does that ? OB does ! Thanks for an awesome machine bundle. I have yet to cut my first piece but will soon and give an updated review ! Thanks again OB !

Great Modular System!
Just finished putting this together today and to my delight everything worked as expected! The build videos were spot on and very helpful.
